Carol Elaine Threewit, age 86, passed away on August 3, 2025, in Westmoreland, Kansas.

Carol was born on July 6, 1939, in Onaga, Kansas, the daughter of Carl and Esther (Johnson) Holmgren.

She married her husband, Gary Threewit, on June 8, 1958, at the United Methodist Church in Westmoreland, Kansas. They shared many cherished years until Gary's passing on October 2, 2019

Carol graduated from Westmoreland High School in the class of 1957. During her school years, she worked as a switchboard operator. From 1956 to 1958, she worked at Kansas State University (KSU), and from 1960 to 1964, she worked for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) office. From 1970 until 1989, she was a dedicated postal carrier, working in both Westmoreland and Wamego. In 2004, she retired from the Pottawatomie County appraiser's office.

Carol enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests. She was passionate about music, playing the organ and piano, and took great joy in teaching many young people how to play. She shared her love by cooking for her family and enjoyed spending time visiting with her family and friends. Carol was also an avid reader and enjoyed photography.

Carol is survived by her sons, David (Denise) Threewit and Mike Threewit; her brother, Loren (Patricia) Holmgren; her sister-in-law, Julia Engle; her grandchildren, Elaina, Johnathan, and Michaela; her great-grandchildren, Myannah, Malik, Zoey, Lucas, and Avery; her great-great-grandchildren, Mariannah.

Cremation arrangements are in care of Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home. A private inurnment is planned for a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and can be sent in the care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 48, Wamego, Kansas 66547.
