Delores Kay Haskin, 88, of Frankfort, KS died August 23, 2025, at Good Shepherd Homecare and Hospice in Manhattan, KS. She was born July 30, 1937, in Frankfort to Eldon M. and Virginia H. (Anderson) Ewing.
She graduated from Frankfort High School in 1955 and then started her banking career at Merchants National Bank in Topeka in October 1955. She continued her career at First National Bank in Frankfort from May 1960 to May 2006 when she retired.
On November 29, 1958, she married Harold F. “Larry” Haskin in Frankfort, KS.
Kay’s interests were horses, antiques and her grandsons. She started riding horses at a young age and her dad taught her a lot about them. She continued to work with horses riding in parades, horse shows, and trail rides along with working cows on the farm. She also enjoyed going to auctions and looking for collectible dishes. Her favorite past time was attending her grandson’s activities--she attended as many football, basketball, baseball games and school activities as she could. She was so proud of them and loved to tell everyone about their achievements.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents and husband Larry (May 2016); siblings Ronald and John Ewing, and Barbara Forst.
Survivors include daughters Cynthia “Cindy” Omaha, NE and Catherine “Cathy” (Kevin) Minihan, Blaine, KS; grandsons—Chase (Taylor) Minihan, Marion, KS; Kasey (Larissa) Minihan, Lawrence, KS; Cameron Minihan, Blaine, KS; and fiancée Addisyn Terrill, Manhattan, KS; brother David Ewing, Silver Lake, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family burial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested for Good Shepherd Hospice. Please make checks payable to Good Shepherd Hospice and those may be sent to Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home, P. O. Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
