Eldon Francis Falk, 83, of Wheaton, Kansas, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, surrounded by his family, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. He was a life-long resident of the community.

Eldon was born on January 28, 1943, in Westmoreland, the son of Orlin August and Doris Irene (Kufahl) Falk. He attended local grade school and graduated from Wheaton High School in 1961. He was an outstanding high school athlete and took pride in his helping the Wheaton Bulldogs go to the state basketball playoffs in his senior year. He then attended a year studying agriculture at Kansas State University.

Eldon was a farmer and stockman his entire life and for over twenty years owned and operated his own trucking business. He was helping his father on the farm as early as pre-school age. His trucking business was well known for its purple semis that could be seen around the state loaded with cattle and hay bales. He also was very involved with Pottawatomie County Recycling and carried numerous loads of recyclables to Sabetha.

Eldon was a very hard worker but always enjoyed visiting and was quick with a story. He was a member of St. Luke Luthearn Church in Wheaton.

Eldon married Emmalie Zabel on March 15, 1964. They welcomed three children, Randy, June and Reen. Eldon and Emmalie later divorced. On December 4, 1976, he married Linda Marie Nutz. Eldon welcomed Linda’s children, Sherri, David and Susan and then they added two more children to their family, Brandon and Travis. Linda survives at their home. Eldon truly loved his family and they loved him.

He is also survived by his children; Randy Falk, Onaga, Sherri Brunkow (Scott), Duluth, June Spiker (Scott), Silver Lake, Susan Rowan, (Bill), Tomball, Texas, Brandon Falk (Patti), Wheaton, Travis Falk, Wheaton; his grandchildren, Ryan Falk (Molly), Riley Falk (Kristen), Rebecca Falk, Kirsti Emberton (Derek), Cheyenne Bandy (Jacob), Dylan Brunkow, Codi Haverkamp (Joel), Chelsey Boxberger (Tyler), Corey Spiker (Brittany), Austen Falk, Karlee Falk, Kristina Vannes (Andrew), T.J. Rowan, Braden Rowan, Shelby Rowan, Taylor Falk (Keatyn), Payton Falk, Lily Falk, August Falk, and bonus grandchildren, Holden Stout and Cora Stout; his great-grandchildren, Weston, Emma, Bennett, Brady, Kade, Kash, Bryson, Brody, Brixton, and three new great-grandchildren soon to arrive. Eldon is also survived by his sisters, Lynda Ladner, Janice Murray, and Amy Noland. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Reen Falk and David Falk, a grandson, Dawson Brunkow, and his sister, Darlene Murray.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wheaton. Burial will follow at St. Luke Lutheran North Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the church, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a prayer service at 6:30 pm. They suggest memorial contributions to the Eldon Falk Memorial Fund, or St. Luke Lutheran Church, and those may be sent in care of Campanella and Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego.
