Jill Husted

Jill Jorgensen Husted passed away in San Ramon, CA on August 10, 2003, in San Ramon, California.

Jill was born in Manhattan, Kansas on December 14, 1947. She graduated from Manhattan High School in 1965 and from Kansas State University in 1971 with a B.S. in Secondary Education. She was honored to be a Kappa Alpha Theta sorority sister.

Jill lived in San Ramon and Danville, California for 18 years. She lovingly taught and inspired over 1,200 pre-school children. Her favorite time with the children was circle time where she taught them about the exciting world of nature.

Jill enjoyed reading childrens books, quilting, and traveling, but most of all she loved being with her family visiting them in San Diego.

Mrs. Husted is dearly missed by her husband of 35 years, Stan in Danville, CA; her son, Scott and his wife, Adelina; and her two grandchildren, Shea and Jessica in La Mesa, CA; her son, Todd in San Diego, CA; and her brother, Jan Jorgensen and his wife, Nancy in Las Vegas, NV. Jill never had the opportunity to meet and love, Todd’s wife, Bree, and their son, Barrett.

Jill is coming home to have her ashes interred at Wamego City Cemetery in a private ceremony. She will forever be next to her mother, Joy Simmons Jorgensen and her father, Louis Jorgensen. When the time comes, her husband, Stan’s ashes will be buried next to her for eternity.
