Linda Diane Jolly, 76, of Wamego, Kansas, passed away from a massive stroke on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. She was a registered organ donor, and her corneas were recovered and transplanted to recipients in need.

Linda was born in Axtell, Kansas, on April 1, 1950, to Harold Gene Jolly and Carolyn (Jolly) Larson. She mentions on her birthday that she was an April Fool’s baby.

Linda was a 1968 graduate of Wamego High School in Wamego, KS, and a graduate from Manhattan Area Vocational Technical School in Manhattan, KS, in the business field arena. She also attended Highland Community College in Wamego, studying Introduction to Insurance. Linda worked 34 years at Kansas Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company, based out of their home office in Manhattan. She also worked approximately 7 years at Kaw Valley State Bank in Wamego. Linda became Thrift Store Manager at Wamego United Methodist Thrift Store from June 2011 – October 2023.

Linda was active with the Eastern Star Organization. At one point, she held the title of Grand Matron. She also participated as a committee member in organizing the 1968 Class Reunion events.

Linda attended Louisville United Methodist Church in Louisville, KS, Wamego United Methodist Church, where she was a certified Lay Speaker and a Trainer, and Flint Hills Global Methodist Church in Wamego, serving on the Outreach Team mailing greeting cards to members as well as scheduling volunteers from the church to deliver Meals on Wheels.

Family was important to Linda. She and her brother, Don, were extremely close. They spent many hours on the phone, and she was always so excited when he visited her. She was also a caregiver for her mother and stepfather in their later years.

Linda enjoyed watching TV, scrolling through posts on social media, and was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas State Wildcats football.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Theresa Jolly, and brother-in-law, Richard Shoe of Glendale, AZ. Sisters-in-Law, Donna Burnette (Pat Munson) of Bitely, MI; Diane Zoeller and Nancy Scheopner of Wamego, KS. A step-aunt and step-uncles of Manhattan, KS, and several cousins of Missouri.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Carolyn (Jolly) Larson; two brothers, Larry Gene Jolly and Don Richard Jolly; and stepfather, Darrell Larson.

Visitation will be Monday, June 15, 2026, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 10:30 am at Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home. Pastor Leslye Haller officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to Flint Hills Global Methodist Church, and can be left in care of Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home, P.O. Box 48, Wamego, Kansas 66547.
