Macy Gracie Anderson

Our fearless four-legged warrior, Macy Gracie Anderson, left her mark on our hearts on December 24, 2015.

Macy was adopted during the summer of 2007 when she came home with Katie from vacation as a "surprise" to her Mom and Dad (they were not thrilled); they described this act as an episode of "How to Get a Dog Without Your Parents Knowing." It didn't take long for us to all adore her, and she quickly settled into her role as the family's fearless protector, a title she wore proudly.

Macy’s idea of fun included playing fetch at the lake, and she never missed a chance to take a car ride. Macy preferred the great outdoors, where she could stretch her legs while exercising her hobby of herding other dogs and even humans. 

Macy leaves behind her adoring family: Katie, Alex, Owen, and Aubrey Anderson, whose hearts are filled with memories of this spirited girl who lived life with a little more enthusiasm than her humans could handle.

Macy taught us that the best things in life come with four paws, a wagging tail, and a stubborn refusal to back down from a challenge—especially if it involves scaring the mailman.

May she chase endless rabbits and nap in sunny spots forevermore, you glorious bundle of mischief!
