Matthew Adam Stevenson Sr. of St. George, KS, age 42, passed away on October 24, 2023, at Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, KS, surrounded by his family.
Matthew was born May 22, 1981, the son of Donald and Karen (Otte) Stevenson. He attended Salina High School. He was a long-time resident of St. George, KS, and worked as a lube technician at Max Motors.
On February 21, 2003, he married Daisy Cook at Sedalia Church; she survives of the home. Together, they were blessed with four sons.
Matthew was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan; he enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He had a smile that was contagious and could make anyone laugh with his witty humor. He lived for an adrenaline rush with roller coasters, casinos, dirt bikes, and fireworks. He loved music, especially rap and hip-hop, and could name most songs from the early 80s up until the current times. Most of all, he loved his family and creating memories.
Survivors include his wife, Daisy Stevenson; sons Matthew Stevenson Jr., Chance Stevenson, Dominic Stevenson, and Tyler Stevenson; Brother, Chris Stevenson; Father-in-Law, Dan Cook and Mother-in-Law, Patty Cook; Brothers-in-law, Tim (Tori) Cook and Danny (Becky) Cook, nieces and nephews, Danny, Corena Toby, Andrea, Alexis, Abigail, Cayson, Drake, Tristan, Gideon, and Honoria; many cousins and loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., at Campanella and Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. A Visitation will take place on Monday, October 30, 2023, from 5:00 until service time at 7:00 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions to Campanella and Stewart Funeral Home for funeral expenses, which may be sent in care of the funeral home, 4370 Salzer Rd PO Box 48, Wamego, KS 66547.
