Ronald Castle

Ronald Castle, 77, passed away on September 24, 2026, in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on March 14, 1949, in Laramie, Wyoming, the son of Vernon Albert Castle and Mary Isabel Smith.

Ronald grew up in Las Vegas. At 17, with his parents’ permission, he joined the Army and served two tours in Vietnam. During his military service, he received numerous decorations and commendations, reflecting his courage and dedication.

He later attended Kansas State University. Ronald was a painter by trade in Southern California before moving to Las Vegas. There, he met Barbara McBain, and they married in Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 2, 2000. Ronald and Barbara then settled in Wamego.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Castle, and his son Ron (Jamie) Castle, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Albert Castle and Mary Isabel Smith

Cremation arrangements are in the care of Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home. In honor of Ronald's wishes, no services are planned at this time.
